How much value a business gets from its technology infrastructure is usually a reflection of the attitude it has towards it. Technology can be seen as a valuable tool to give a competitive edge and enable a business to be more efficient and give better service. Alternatively technology can be seen as a necessary evil – something we must use at times, but only when we have to.
My advice is to evaluate your business’ attitude towards technology.
– Have you reviewed your IT recently?
– Have you an assigned budget for your IT infrastructure?
– Is your IT set up adhoc and pieced together or is there a plan and strategy in place?
– Are you using technology as a tool to maximise the efficiency of your team?
